At the 2011 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC), the Marcus Percussion group, under the direction of Kennan Wylie, performed a one hour concert for the "Competition Showcase".

The concert included eight pieces by the Marcus Percussion Group with guest artists: soprano Heather Hawk, violinist Oksana Murashova Sifri and vibraphonist Ed Smith.

The video below was the sixth piece of the concert. The piece is lead by Marcus percussion faculty member Josh Jennings.  The title of the piece is Som Da Laegria (arr. Jennings/Santos)

Each autumn, since 1993, the Marcus Percussion organization sponsors and host the Lone Star Classic Drumline Competition.  Lone Star Classic is the regions premier Drumline competition routinely hosting more than 80 drumlines in standstill and marching categories.  See more information about Lone Star Classic here.
