What time is my Drumline playing at the Lone Star Classic in 2009?
See this years schedule here.
How is the order of performance chosen?
We have developed a pool system – the postmark determines which of 3 drawing pools your band will be entered. We then randomly draw the order in which schools perform by drawing Pool 1 (latest to perform in each division), Pool 2 (middle of each division) and then Pool 3 (earliest to perform in each division).
How are soloists performance times determined?
Performance times for each instrument are picked entirely at random. We do check to make sure that the performer does not have any conflict with any commitments made to their own drumline’s performance in which case we attempt to make every accommodation by moving that performer to a later time slot (after their drumline commitment) unless the director requests the performer play earlier. If the student’s solo performance time is before the drumline’s scheduled warm-up time, then the student will perform as picked by the random drawing process.
Does my entire drumline have to perform at the event for me to enter as a soloist?
No. Soloist have a separate registration process. However, consideration will be made for solo performance times to not conflict with their drumline performance.
